ASEAN appoints special envoys about Myanmar

 

ASEAN appointed Brunei Erywan Yusof Second Foreign Minister to make the envoy to Myanmar to promote crisis handling.

Erywan was tasked with ending violence in Myanmar, opening a dialogue between military authorities and oppositions, according to announced announced articles after the August 2 and August 4 meetings of

The diplomat will monitor a humanitarian aid package, whether ASEAN has not publicized detailed information about the support.

The Myanmar troops overthrew the government elected 6 months ago, causing the country to fall into a chaotic situation when the security force dissatisfied the demonstrations and the country's economy decline.

The Myanmar military government's representative at the meeting objected to the ASEAN members was to allow free humanitarian staff to provide aid to the areas they considered to be the most necessary, according to two sources

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a separate statement that special envoys will soon start working and have full access to all parties in Myanmar.
